Sunday Concert Series # 8

Highly acclaimed for her
“passionate intensity and
remarkable vocal beauty”
*
Isabel Leonard
mezzo-soprano
continues to make waves in the world of classical music
both at home in the United States and abroad.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

What makes Leonard so compelling is the steady, unstoppable inner rhythm that invests her characters with such rich musical life. She is an unshakably honest singer.
*
Leonard refuses to be distracted from the matter at hand.
*
Isabel Leonard sounds exactly the same way that she looks — gorgeous. A native New Yorker, Leonard has the cool beauty and wry sophistication of a heroine from Hollywood's golden age, but she is considerably more than just a (very) pretty face:
she is a first-class musician whose poised.
Just six years into her professional career, Leonard has established herself as an audience favorite at the Met.

Isabel Leonard is an American mezzo-soprano. She is of Argentinean ancestry on her mother's side. For five years, Leonard sang with the Manhattan School of Music Children’s Chorus.
She also attended the Joffrey Ballet School.
*
A graduate of The Juilliard School, Isabel Leonard appeared in numerous productions at the Juilliard Opera Theater
*

Ms. Leonard is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, most recently the Beverly Sills Award.  She is a native New Yorker and received both her Bachelor and Masters of Music at
the Juilliard School.
*
*
Romanian Vlad Iftinca, first pianist at the
Metropolitan Opera
*
Vlad Iftinca, piano
Some of the great voices of the world choose to work with Romanian Vlad Iftinca, who is the only Romanian artist employed at the Metropolitan Opera (Met) in New York. He is not only the first pianist of the famous music academy, but also responsible with promoting young talent. Mr. Iftinca is currently part of the 2012 - 2013 Metropolitan Opera music staff roster and is also the Staff Music Coach for the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.  He serves as the Collaborative Piano faculty at the Mannes College of Music in New York City.  Born in Romania, he received his primary education at Reina Sofia School of Music.

Another wonderful Sunday with my friend Pat,
enjoying world class music!
BRAVO !
