Brimfield Fair #3 September 10, 2011

One last visit to the Fair and this years adventures to Brimfield...
comes to an end.
The booths weren't as crowded as in the past, and the roads quite a mess, but a fun day just the same.

Rain or Shine, the Show goes on!  Earlier in the week the days were dark and soggy, but still a large number of hard-core Brimfield addicts who were not going to be dissuaded from some GREAT deals just because of a few showers.
Sunny skies later in the week----> Bargaining is the name of the game in Brimfield.

On popular or very special one - of a - kind items you may get more or less of a good deal, but ya 'gotta ASK for the deal. And don't be afraid to haggle.  Also, don't be afraid to walk away from a deal, but just know that when you do... there are often others hanging nearby to scoop it up. One last word of advice - if you see that 'something' you absolutely know that you will miss not owning - grab it !  We've all passed on things we wished we hadn't ... That feeling of angst never goes away ! :-)

The May 2011 Brimfield Show was
the largest, and best - attended Show EVER!

All fields were booked to dealer capacity with promoters accepting dealer applications on a stand-by basis only. The majority of dealers mentioned that their sales were better than average, and in many cases, blew away previous years' sales. It has long been an insider secret that the largest cash-exchange day is the first day - (Tuesday), and that it consists primarily of sales between dealers, with the second largest day being the weekend, with sales to the public. In other words.... the earliest bird not only got the tastiest worm, but had a better selection from which to choose.   There is no doubt - if you were looking for a special item, and you had the patience to comb through the fields on the weekend, you were still able to find what you were looking for. The sheer number of dealers - and visitors - combined to provide an unforgettable antiquing experience !

P-Town ..2011 - one last time

September 1st.

*

Setting sail from Plymouth
to
Provincetown

A beautiful
 sunny end of summer day!
*************************************
Leaving Plymouth harbor behind we enjoyed many sights along the way. Fishing boats, pleasure boats and luckily for us we caught a glimpse of a passing whale !

We arrived at noon, just in time for lunch !
 Oyster started our feast !

Followed by more sea food of course !

Everything was Delicious !

We continued our day by slowly wandering in and out of the many shops along Commercial St. It was hot, but there was plenty to see and do.
***************
There were a variety of boats, big and small in the harbor...

**************
The beaches are inviting and the shops interesting!

After a wonderful day in Provincetown we headed home on board the P-Town ferry.

Nice....
