Boston Landmarks Orchestra 2012

The Boston Landmarks Orchestra is a professional orchestra dedicated to making great music available to all Bostonians throughout the summer. Its main series takes place at the Hatch Shell on the Esplanade, with regular performances in other sites of civic or historical significance. The orchestra frequently collaborates with other artists and organizations.
All performances are FREE !

Tonight's concert is not just the opening night of the Landmarks Festival at the Shell, but it is also the third in a series of Reconciliation Concerts which celebrate the universal healing power of music.
Christopher Wilkins was appointed Music Director of the Boston Landmards Orchestra in the spring of 2011.  Born in Boston, Mr. Wilkins has led the development of programs with an emphasis on collaborative work and broad accessibility.  He also serves as Music Director of the Orlando Philharmonic and the Acron Symphony.
The FREE for all Concert Fund, an independent grant-making public charity, ensures that everyone from the Boston region -- children, adults, and families -- will have regular and permanent access to the rich world of classical, orchestral music and related cultural events.
