** Plymouth to P-Town ** July 6, 2011

Early morning 'up and out' , at 8:30 the temperature has already climbed to 79,
not a cloud in the sky!
******

The ticket booth was open and the line of passengers was long.

Our trip today began in Plymouth, a hot sunny morning aboard the Plymouth to Proviencetown Ferry.

This is a trip that friends and I enjoy each summer *
 it's simply the best  !

Prior to departure we enjoyed some of Plymouth's waterfront historic scenery, both new and old.  Boats of all kinds moored at the yacht club, and in the harbor.

Here is a piece of history we all know about .

The very old alongside the very new...

some 'working boats' as seen here lobstering the inner harbor...

and here, perhaps a 'quick get-a-way' from the office...

and of course there is 'the ROCK'.
As we entered Proviencetown Harbor we encounter even more boats ! Big ones, small ones, sailboats, motorboats,
boats of all kinds.

There is something for everyone.

The town pier is a very busy place !

Charter boat 'Dolphin' takes tourists out whale watching twice a day.

Heading out to sea for the day, Ahhhhhhhhhhhh NICE.
There IS something for everyone. Charter fishing boats, whale watching boats, sail boat rides, and more !

LUNCH was the next adgenda on our leasurley schedule for the day. We headed directly to the LOBSTER POT.
The best restaurant for local seafood anywhere in town !

Once in town, there were other interesting things to see other than boats!

There were brightly colored flags,      interesting flowers and gardens,

groups and organizations to visit,

 and more... .

There were sunburned people with a message to share.

There were crouds of people all over town.

Once the temperature climbed to 84, there was only only one thing to do...

Cool off and watch the crowd walk by......

The day was nearing an end,
it was time to head back to the boat.
Tired and sunburn as we were, it sure was a day of fun in the sun.
