Boston Landmarks Orchestra

Great Music for FREE !
The Boston Landmarks Orchestra performs great music for FREE in wonderful places.  Privately funded, its home is the DCR's Hatch Shell where it performs on Wednesday evenings in the summer.  The Orchestra also presents family and children's concerts in area neighborhoods.

Our Wednesday evening day trip began aboard the Quincy to Boston 5:20 ferry.  A warm summer evening ahead.
Boston Harbor was as active as ever. Sailboats and pleasure crafts filled the inner harbor.
We arrived on time to enjoy our 'dinner picnic' under the stars while listening to the evenings program of great music.

The trolley was an excellent (air conditioned) way to get around and see many of the sights all over town.

Beautiful homes that look more like  *castles *
all from an era gone by that is referred to as 'The Gilded Age of Newport'
Returning to the waterfront area -- lunch was next on our adgenda
There are all kinds of restaurants to choose from, each with beautiful views of the marina.
We enjoyed a delecious seafood aray acompanied by a martini or two.

Our day wasn't over yet........                        All Aboard.... ! Anchors Away..... !               We next enjoyed a delightful cruise around Narragansett Harbor. Narrated by a long time Newport native.

There are all kinds of boats big boats, little boats, work boats, sail boats.
Something for everyone !
